For this project, the Webventure, my first goal was to create something scary or unsettling. One way that I managed to do this was by creating all of my GIFs and Images using scary imagery such as creepy faces, flashing lights, or dark and ominous areas. Another thing I wanted to do was make the whole experience sort of never ending and disorienting. I wanted the experience to make you feel like you were trapped in a way. I am really proud of the way I was able to effectively create that experience as much of the feedback I received reflected that. I was also happy to hear that a lot of the feedback reflected the feelings and emotions that I wanted to invoke with my project. I am also proud that I was able to create a cohesive but unique set of images and videos to go along with the experience and I think they all fit together nicely. I haven’t ever tried creating a web adventure like this one and I felt pretty intimidated going into the project. Although it wasn’t my favorite project, as I started to feel more confident using the Wix tools, I actually really enjoyed the project and felt very comfortable by the end. I’m overall very happy with the webventure I was able to create and it definitely taught me a lot of useful skills for my future digital art endeavors. My favorite part was learning how to create the GIFs and I really enjoyed the creative freedom that allowed for this project.
