I don’t have any experience with Audition so I feel a little bit intimidated by this project but I am still excited to see what I can create with it. I want my soundscape to be relaxing but also a bit unsettling. I want it to be relaxing in the beginning and then start to ramp up in the middle and then settle back down. Some ideas I have to create this effect are by making certain sounds repeat at different times throughout the soundscape. I know I want to use the lighter sound effect and I also really liked the bird background noises. I want to use some of the background sounds throughout the entire soundscape to tie the other sounds together more. Another idea I had is to make some parts of the soundscape very quiet as a way to make the listener feel unsettled. Some other sounds I really want to include are the noises of a man drinking water and coughing. I also felt really inspired by the alarm sounds and the busy street in the background. I think I want to have certain sounds like the alarm and the bowl tapping to occur throughout the soundscape. I want some parts of the soundscape to feel almost overwhelming with 4 or 5 sounds playing at the same time while other parts will be more quiet with certain specific sounds being the main focus. Overall, I am really excited to work on this project and I hope I will be able to create the end result that I’m imagining using Audition even though I don’t have much experience.
